A Special Place in Our Story We went here on our very first date and on so many more after that. Over the years, it's become a nostalgic place for us, full of memories and laughter. Every time we visit, there's something new to experience, making each date feel different, yet always special. It's a place that holds a big piece of our story and our hearts.
Arcade 92
If you're looking for something fun and a little different during your stay, head to one of our favorite date spots in Downtown McKinney, a retro-modern arcade packed with classic games and new favorites. It’s perfect for a little friendly competition with your partner, friends, or family. Whether you're a Pac-Man pro or a pinball wizard, it’s a great way to relive your childhood and make new memories during the wedding weekend!
Mellow Mushroom
This is the restaurant where we had our very first date, and it’s held a special place in our hearts (and stomachs) ever since. We still go back for the top-tier pizza and great vibes.
Hugs Cafe
Hugs Café in Downtown McKinney is a special place that provides meaningful job opportunities for individuals with disabilities, helping them feel empowered and included in the community. Hannah was deeply involved in special education during high school, and this café has always stood out as a beautiful example of what true inclusion can look like. Stop by for breakfast or lunch and you’ll leave with a full stomach and a full heart.
WestRidge Golf Course
This place holds memories for both of us, Hannah used to come here with her dad when it was still Hank Haney’s golf course, and Tristan has played here many times with his friends. These days, we only go together when we’re both in a good mood… mostly because Hannah insists on reminding Tristan that she’s the better golfer. (She’s not wrong.)
Bahama Buck's Original Shaved Ice Cream
This place is special to us because it’s the only job Tristan ever had… until he becomes a dentist. It didn’t pay well and the work was tough, so like any classic high schooler...he quit after a month. Still, they’ve got great stuff to order… just maybe skip the job application.
Hutchins BBQ
A must-try spot for Texas BBQ lovers! Hutchins is known for its brisket, ribs, and all-you-can-eat banana pudding. Our favorite is the Texas Twinkie which is heavenly. Come hungry and you won’t leave disappointed!
