Are kids welcome?

We are asking that this is an adult only event! We love your little ones, but we've decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off to relax, celebrate, and dance the night away with us!

August 15th or as soon as possible!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask you wear semi-formal attire in fall/earth tones - floor-length gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, suit jackets and jeans, button-up shirts in colors like black, forest green, burgundy, warm yellows, and burnt orange.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We recommend Hotel Rapids, the Best Western Plus Grand Rapids, Timber Lake Lodge, and AmericInn by Wyndham are great options. More info can be found on the "Travel" page. Hotel block at Hotel Rapids - use code "mk1010"

Can I bring a date?

If you have a "plus one" include on your RSVP, yes! We are only able to accommodate those guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What time should I arrive at the reception?

Answer

Cocktail hour is from 5:00-6:00pm, with the dinner buffet being opened at 6:30pm. Please arrive anytime during the cocktail hour!

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

Yes! The reception venue has plenty of parking. The road to the venue is a dirt/gravel road and the parking lot is also dirt/gravel.

Will there be open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar for wine, beer, seltzers, and the themed cocktails. Please tip your bartender :)

Will there be assigned seating for dinner?

Answer

For some - immediate family and wedding party will have reserved seats, the rest is open seating, so sit where you'd like!

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Absolutely - all night! We will be having the best Grand Rapids cover band, Twist of Fate performing at the reception!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If you received an invite to the ceremony, please arrive at 2:15pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be parking available at the home in the driveway and on the street. This is also a dirt road with a cement driveway.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. It will be held in the backyard in the grass - if you love heels, wear them! Just know, you will be walking in grass and sitting in chairs on grass. If weather does not allow for an outdoor ceremony, it will be held at the reception venue - Barn in the Woods. (please do any anti-rain rituals or ceremonies that you can)
