Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The bride & groom will be arriving into Palisade on Thursday & staying through Monday. There will be fun wedding-related things going on Friday through Sunday, but please stay as long as you can! If you are interested in extended your trip longer or outside of the Palisade area, check out our "Things To Do" page.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Spoke & Vine Motel is our home-base for the weekend! We stumbled upon this little gem on our way back to Denver after our exciting engagement/backpacking trip to Havasupai Falls, so it holds a special place in our hearts. If you have an existing October 2020 reservation at Spoke & Vine, give them a call to transfer to October 2021 or to cancel (a $25 fee applies for cancellation). If you don't have a current reservation but are hoping to make one, give them a call to see if rooms have become available. We would recommend one of the many local AirBnB locations (look for something from Elberta Ave & W 1st Street & east towards the river), Wine Country Inn for a more traditional hotel stay, or one of several Bed & Breakfasts in the area, depending on your preferences.

Question

What should I pack for my weekend in Palisade?

Answer

Bring comfy, active, casual clothes for activities from biking to wineries, a crisp morning walk, a mountain bike adventure, or a fall hike. Bring layers to warm up or cool down throughout the day. Days are warm & sunny, but it gets chilly once the sun goes down.

Question

How can I get around Palisade?

Answer

You will find all the major car rental companies at the Grand Junction Regional Airport. Also, Lyft & Uber are available in & around Palisade. Many things in Palisade are within walking distance & biking places is very popular.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Preferred attire is wedding casual to cocktail. The day cools off when the sun sets so bring a light jacket to enjoy the crisp Colorado evening we hope to have. The ground is grassy or gravel, so keep that in mind for footwear.

Question

How can I get to the wedding?

Answer

We will have a chartered bus to get you safely to the venue & back again at the end of the night. Everyone will hop on one bus (not a shuttle). It will leave from & return back to Spoke & Vine Motel.

Question

Will there be drinks at your wedding reception? How about food?

Answer

YES. Since our venue is a vineyard, we will have a selection of their finest wines. We will also have a variety of beer options, in addition to non-alcoholic hot & cold beverages throughout the evening. There will be no hard liquor due to the vineyard's license. (But you can get your whiskey/gin/tequila-fix at the local distillery at the after-party!) YES. We love food! You can expect appetizers during cocktail hour & a full sit-down dinner to follow.

Question

What if I have food restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know ASAP & we will work with our caterer to have that accommodated! Email us at thenassraways2020@gmail.com.
