Welcome to Bayshore Club - built on the historic site known as Dinner Key and part of Miami’s oldest neighborhood, Coconut Grove. Originally an island and later connected to the mainland in 1914, Dinner Key received its name for being a beautiful picnic stop while traveling by boat along the coastal waters of the city. In 1918 it became the site of the first continental naval air station in the United States until the end of WWI. Through the 1930’s and 40’s, Dinner Key served as a base for Pan American World Airway’s flying boats, the Sikorsky S41 and S42 (commonly known as Clipper planes). The planes were once housed in the newly restored hangers at Bayshore Club and the original Art Deco airport terminal is now the site Miami City Hall located to the southeast side of the restaurant.

Events by Sun Coast - Destination Cruise Weddings is rated 5.0/5 and starts at just $2,000, offering unique floating ceremonies on Biscayne Bay. A recent guest shared, "We couldn't have asked for a more magical day."

Caprice Yacht Miami, also 5.0/5, starts at $1,500 and accommodates up to 200 guests. One couple raved, "Having our 200 guests celebrating with the Miami skyline as our backdrop was absolutely perfect!"

Start by securing your venue early—popular Miami beach locations book 12–18 months ahead. You'll need permits from Miami-Dade County for any beachfront ceremony, so factor in processing time and fees.

Weather is key: Miami's hurricane season runs June–November, so May and December–April offer the best conditions. If you choose summer months, have a solid indoor backup plan; venues like Vista Lago Ballroom with covered spaces are ideal. Wind can affect decorations and photography on the beach, so discuss logistics with your florist and photographer during planning.

Consider timing: early morning or sunset ceremonies dodge peak heat and offer stunning light. Beach venues often include sand, chairs, and basic setup, but confirm what's included versus what you rent separately. Finally, brief your guests on casual beach attire if you're embracing Miami's relaxed vibe—it sets the tone and keeps everyone comfortable in the tropical heat.

The ideal beach wedding season typically falls between late spring and early fall (May through September), when you'll have the most reliable sunny days and warmest water temperatures. However, this varies by region—coastal areas in the South may have longer suitable seasons, while northern beaches have shorter windows.

For weather contingency planning, consider these essential steps:

  • Book a venue with indoor backup space or a nearby shelter option. Many beach venues offer covered pavilions or nearby indoor facilities for unexpected rain.
  • Choose a date during your region's driest months to minimize storm risk, though always have a backup plan.
  • Secure quality rentals like tents or canopies—these are investment-worthy and provide both weather protection and elegant ambiance.
  • Plan for wind by securing décor, linens, and floral arrangements with weights or anchors.
  • Schedule your ceremony for early morning or late afternoon to avoid peak midday heat and intense sun exposure.
  • Communicate weather policies with your venue upfront, including whether deposits are refundable if severe weather forces rescheduling.

According to Zola marketplace data, beach venues have a median starting price of $5,000, so invest time in understanding each venue's specific weather accommodations and insurance coverage before booking.

According to the Zola Wedding Cost Index, a typical Miami wedding for 100 guests costs between $27,400 and $41,000. This is notably higher than the national median of $25,000, reflecting Miami's popularity as a wedding destination.

Here's how your budget typically breaks down:

  • Venue: $5,423 (about 16% of total)
  • Catering: $4,339
  • Florists: $4,339
  • Bar services: $3,471
  • Photography: $2,847
  • Videography: $2,820
  • Wedding planning: $2,603

Venue and catering together account for roughly 35% of your total spend, so choosing the right venue is one of your most impactful decisions.

Venue size in Miami should match both your guest count and budget. Here's what to expect at different scales, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index:

  • 50 guests: Total budget of $16,600–$24,900
  • 100 guests: Total budget of $27,400–$41,000 (the standard benchmark)
  • 150 guests: Total budget of $37,500–$56,300
  • 200 guests: Total budget of $46,500–$69,800
  • 300 guests: Total budget of $64,600–$96,900

Based on Zola marketplace data, Miami venues range from $2,700 to $12,000, with a median of $4,270. Smaller, intimate venues work well for 50–75 guests, while mid-size spaces handle 100–150, and larger estates or waterfront properties accommodate 200+. Consider your per-guest spending capacity when touring options.
