Welcome to The Steam Plant, downtown Dayton’s premier wedding venue! The former power generating plant has undergone a three year renovation preserving the historical charm while adding modern amenities for today’s discerning couples. We offer indoor and outdoor options and space for ceremony and reception providing numerous backdrops for photos. The Steam Plant's versatility allows couples to customize the venue and utilize the spaces to best fit their group size and vision for the day. We are Carli & Hamilton Dixon, artists and business owners in downtown Dayton for nearly a decade, and residents of downtown for over two decades. The Brightside is located in the 905 E. Third Street building, which was 18,000 sq. ft. filled with abandoned clothes and trash when we purchased it. But over the last 10 years, we have worked to clean it out, restore all of its services, and renovate it to become Dayton's newest music & event venue. We take care of set up and take down, provide all tables, chairs, linens, and we even offer a variety of misc. wedding items that you may borrow.
