Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts

Heist opened its doors in 2012, as Charlotte's only Craft Brewpub. Originally brewing on a 10HL German brewhouse, we expanded in 2017, adding 30 barrel production facility. Our original focus was on small-batch beer in the traditional Belgian and German style brews. In 2016, we found our stride, creating the original hazy IPA in North Carolina, CitraQuench'l. Since then, we have worked tirelessly to expand our portfolio, now ranging from hazy IPAs and pilsners to fruited sours and adjuncted stouts. We still make the occasional small batches, which are typically kept in house for pours at both our locations.

FAQs about all-inclusive in Charlotte, NC

For a wedding of 100 guests in Charlotte, the total budget ranges from $27,200 to $40,800, according to the Zola Wedding Cost Index. All-inclusive venues handle much of this spend, with starting prices from $3,000 to $10,000 based on Zola marketplace data. Beyond the venue rental, you'll typically allocate budget to:

  • Catering and bar services ($7,600 combined)
  • Photography and videography ($5,992 combined)
  • Florals and décor ($4,136)

Choosing an all-inclusive venue reduces coordination complexity and often locks in catering, bar, and basic décor—freeing budget for photography, florals, and other personal touches.

Charlotte's all-inclusive venues span three capacity ranges. Small venues accommodate up to 50 guests and are ideal if you're planning an intimate celebration. Medium venues seat 51–150 guests, starting from $24,333, and work well for standard Charlotte weddings in neighborhoods like Dilworth or South End. Large venues hold 150+ guests, starting from $8,216, giving you flexibility for bigger celebrations or multiple wedding events.

If you're expecting 100 guests—the Charlotte benchmark—medium and large venues offer the best selection and pricing. For 50-guest intimate weddings, your budget of $16,500–$24,700 stretches further with smaller, specialized all-inclusive spaces.

All-inclusive venues in Charlotte typically bundle the venue space, catering, bar service, and basic event coordination—covering roughly 16% of your total wedding budget upfront. Most packages include tables, chairs, linens, and a dedicated event manager to handle logistics and timeline.

What often costs extra: floral design ($4,136 average), professional photography ($3,182 average), videography, and a day-of planner if not included. Some venues include basic décor but charge separately for custom florals or premium linens.

Before booking, confirm whether your package covers rentals, cake cutting fees, service charges, and bar options (beer/wine only vs. full liquor). Charlotte's seasonal weather also affects outdoor venues near Freedom Park or Lake Norman—ask about weather contingencies and indoor backup spaces. Request itemized pricing to avoid surprises and ensure the all-inclusive model actually fits your vision and budget.

All-inclusive wedding venues bundle multiple services into one package, though what's covered can vary by venue. Most packages include the venue rental, tables, chairs, and linens. Many also provide catering and bar service—often a significant portion of your budget.

Common add-ons in all-inclusive packages are:

  • Basic event staffing and coordination
  • Sound system and DJ or music services
  • Lighting and decorative elements
  • Parking for guests
  • In-house catering with a set menu or limited choices
  • Bar service with beer, wine, and soft drinks

According to Zola marketplace data across the US, all-inclusive venues have a median starting price of $5,500, which is about 29% higher than standard venues. This premium typically reflects the convenience of having everything handled by one team.

Before booking, clarify exactly what's included—guest count minimums, overtime fees, outside vendor policies, and whether upgrades like premium liquor or specialty menu items cost extra. These details vary significantly between venues, so getting specifics in writing protects both you and the venue.

Charlotte's wedding venues book quickly, especially during peak season (April through October). We recommend securing your venue 12 to 18 months in advance if you're planning a spring or summer wedding. If you're flexible with a fall or winter date, you may find availability with 6 to 9 months' notice.

Popular neighborhoods like Uptown and South End tend to fill faster than other areas. Early booking also gives you more negotiating power on pricing and allows your venue coordinator time to connect you with preferred caterers, florists, and other vendors. If you're planning during the off-season (November through March), you'll have more flexibility, though availability varies by venue.

Charlotte's most sought-after wedding neighborhoods each offer distinct character:

  • Uptown: The vibrant urban core with modern skyline views, loft venues, and walkable dining and entertainment options.
  • South End: Known for trendy galleries, breweries, and contemporary event spaces with creative energy.
  • NoDa: An artsy neighborhood with eclectic venues, vintage charm, and an alternative wedding vibe.
  • Dilworth: A historic residential area with tree-lined streets, elegant homes, and intimate outdoor settings.
  • Myers Park: Charlotte's most prestigious neighborhood, featuring manicured grounds and upscale estates ideal for formal affairs.

Landmarks like Freedom Park and Lake Norman also draw couples seeking scenic outdoor backdrops. Your choice depends on your wedding style, guest count, and whether you prefer urban energy or natural surroundings.
