Hello everyone! My name is Jessica Goodpaster. I am a Social Studies teacher with a passion for baking. Thank you for visiting History in the Baking! This is a home-based bakery based in Lexington. KY. I offer a variety of baked goods including homemade cookies with unique flavors, breakfast items, seasonal items, holiday specials custom orders. and wedding consultations. Each wedding is unique. Your desserts should match that. I hope to work with you to create the perfect sweets for your perfect day!

Sustainability is important to us. That is why we use vegan, organic sugar to make our cotton candy. As well as only using sustainable material for our cones such as bamboo sticks. We will never use plastic in any of our packaging or otherwise.

I am educated as an architect and have been a painter my whole life. Bringing those skills to cake artistry allows me to design using a variety of mediums from classical piping to painted landscapes to sculptural floral installations, all while maintaining the structural integrity (and deliciousness!) of my cakes. Architecture is about guiding the user through your creation and shaping their experience, likewise, every cake tells a story and leaves a lasting experience in the minds of it's enjoyers! If you can dream it, I want to bake it.
