Prepare to make homemade pasta that any Italian grandmother would be proud of all you need is flour, egg and our Italian Chitarra Pasta Cutter - the pasta-making essential. Made of natural beechwood and strung like a guitar, the Chitarra (pronounced key-tahr-rah) reflects the musicality and artistry that Italians bring to their cuisine. Invented in the 1800s from Chieti, Italy to make long strings of pasta the old-fashioned way. Equipped with iron strings, these are each spaced equally on both sides but with different thickness and a slanted center that allows the various kinds of pasta to slide off easily. Use the including rolling pin to roll your dough over the chitarra and push through the wire strings, cutting perfectly even noddles. Use one side for thinner noodles and flip around and use the bottom for wider noodles. Made in Italy.
