This heirloom-quality quilt was designed exclusively for Crate & Barrel by Andrea Pettway-Williams and Cheyenne Pettway, two members of the legendary Gee’s Bend quilting community. The mother-daughter duo have been quilting all of their lives, from matching fabric as children to designing textile masterpieces as they honed their skills. Mixing solids and charming vintage-inspired prints in a palette of blue hues, the organic cotton voiles and slubbed weaves add texture to the dynamic checkerboard pattern. Hand-quilted by talented artisans based on the quilters’ original designs, this quilt and its coordinating pillow shams (sold separately) brings a work of art—and a piece of history—home.
