We're so excited to fly to the Baja California peninsula for the first time and hang out by the Sea of Cortez!

We're staying at the Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, an eco-friendly, all-inclusive resort.

Our resort is home to the only TPC golf course in Mexico. Fun fact: President Obama played here! Katherine will be Tyler's caddy/photographer in case you were wondering 😋

Loreto Bay National Park in the Sea of Cortez is one of the most biologically diverse marine parks in the world, dubbed “the world’s aquarium” by explorer Jacques Cousteau. We’re hoping to spot orcas, humpbacks, and even a blue whale - the largest animal to have ever existed. We may do a little fishing, too!

We’d love to unwind from the festivities (and work/school year!) at the award-winning Sabila Spa. They even have a Signature Golf Massage!

Believe it or not, this will be our first Christmas together after celebrating with our respective families on the West and East Coast - in Mexico, of all places! Loreto was the first and oldest Spanish colonial settlement in the Baja California peninsula, founded in 1697 by Jesuit missionaries. We plan on exploring and celebrating the season at the many beautifully preserved Catholic missions in and near Loreto, such as San Xavier (pictured here).
