It's about 7500 miles from Hawaii to Europe...basically it's really far.

We couldn't decide on just one place to visit so we thought that a European cruise through multiple countries was a better idea.

Lindsey has always wanted to visit Prague and after polling our friends on Facebook the decision was clear...PRAGUE. Some of the responses she received: "It's fairytale charming with their castles and the bridges over the Danube!"; "I loved Prague! So pretty and romantic."; "Prague is so much cooler...so different from any other European city."

Trier was founded by the Celts in the late 4th century B.C. making it the oldest city in Germany. It is also home to the Porta Nigra (pictured), the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps.

Cochem is a small riverside town on the Moselle River, a tributary of the mighty Rhine. Above the town lies Reichsburg Castle which was built in the early 1100s, destroyed in 1689 by the French, and then restored in 1868 and today is owned and maintained by the town to which it overlooks.

Koblenz is home to Marksburg Castle (pictured), the only Rhine fortress that was never destroyed. Since its fortifications have remained so intact, stepping inside is a veritable journey back to the Middle Ages.

Heidelberg is the location of Heidelberg University, Germany's oldest and among its most reputable universities. It is also home to the red sandstone ruins of Heidelberg Castle--built in the 12th century but twice destroyed by lightning and then later rebuilt.

The wine town of Würzburg is home to the Bishops’ Residenz (pictured), a baroque palace and UNESCO World Heritage Site with numerous paintings and frescoes.

Bamberg was founded in 902 and was an important center of the German Enlightenment. Along with most of the town being designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this German town is also famous for its locally brewed smoky beer, Rauchbier

The Bavarian city of Nuremberg was home to the Nuremberg Trails, the Allied held military tribunals that prosecuted Nazi leadership after World Ward II; as well as the ruins of Zeppelin Field--Nazi parade grounds of the 1930s.

Though we're not expecting yet, when we do, we will seriously consider your suggestion.

After our honeymoon, the next big project on the horizon is renovating our home which is over 30 years old.

The closest we've gotten to a romantic Parisian dinner was watching the Pixar movie Ratatouille. We hope to change that during our stay in Paris.

The 19th century German mathematician Bernard Bolzano counted a hundred spires in the city...seeing them at dinner by candle light would be magical.

When in Germany...do as the Germans do.

From the Louvre to Notre Dame, from the Eiffel Tower to French cuisine (not to mention their fries); Paris is a city with so much character and history. We can't wait to visit.

Sandwiched between France and Germany, the country of Luxembourg was heavily contested during World War II and the main battle ground during the last major German offensive campaign during the war dubbed the 'Battle of the Bulge.' Today, Luxembourg is a central hub to the European Union with many EU insititutions and agencies calling Luxembourg City home.

As an art major Matt studied art history as part of his course work for his degree. Having a chance to visit and see many of the paintings and artwork that he only read about in books would be a dream come true.
