More than 1 million species of plants and animals are at risk of extinction, threatening the stability of global ecosystems. In order to restore and protect nature, transformative action is needed.
With enough technological innovation and political willpower, it is still possible to protect our planet by limiting the increase in global mean temperature to two degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. But it cannot and - importantly - should not be done in isolation. Supporting local conservation efforts in areas most threatened by climate change is imperative to preserve the Earth's future.
