St. Kilda is a small, isolated archipelago 40 miles west of the Outer Hebrides. Its small community was evacuated in 1930, and the islands are now a UNESCO world heritage site. Only a couple small boats run trips out St. Kilda in the summer months, offering the intrepid few the opportunity to marvel at its towering sea stacks at the edge of the world.
