In April 2015, we closed on our first home together in New Orleans. We are lucky enough to have a small yard that we can enjoy most of the year when the weather isn't unbearable!

A kayak for two for gator-watching in the Louisiana bayous

We're planning a 5 night getaway to the island of Kauai where we are hoping to lounge on the beach, hike the beautiful canyons on the secluded island, snorkel, and hopefully be able to take a boat trip to see the island from the water.

We are lucky to live in a city as vibrant as New Orleans! There are so many opportunities to see a Broadway show (most recently Lion King rolled through), or even to see unique shows such as the movie E.T. accompanied by live music performed by the Louisiana Philharmonic. This isn't something we would ordinarily splurge on, but we would love to be able to have a date night out to one of these events!
