“A Sweet Friendship Refreshes The Soul” Alex and I feel complete refreshment in our souls when we think about all of you whom we love and cherish as our family and friends to have the opportunity to invite you to join in on our celebration of this sweet time. The amount of support and love from each and everyone has been a beautiful gift and one we will hold onto dearly in our journey together. For those of you who don’t know our story in which God’s hand has remarkably written out; we met in January 2020 when we were introduced by Cody and Nicole Musser. Alex and Cody were training together to run the Houston Marathon and Cody asked me (Jessica) if I would come to their home to guide them through a yoga session before their big run. Now, to be honest- I had a long day, longer week, and going into this Thursday evening at 5:00 PM I was really just ready to teach, get home, and get on the couch with the dogs. As cliche as it sounds in an instant everything changed within me and around me when I opened up the door to see and meet Alex for the first time. His inviting smile, sweet spirit, and laugh swept me off of my feet. From that day on we continued to get to know each other as friends and on Good Friday, April 10th 2020 we decided that it was time to put a title to our relationship. God’s handiwork in all things in our lives has been beautiful and we both see it and feel it everyday. On November 6, 2020 on the top of Bear Creek Mountain in Telluride, Colorado Alex got down on one knee and with his family watching, filming, and taking pictures He asked me if we could spend the rest of our lives together. I froze, time stood still, but after Alex’s knee endured sitting on top of a rock for quite some time I came back to earth and said, “YES!” Again, God’s hand and design of every moment has had us both in awe. A dream venue opened up for GOOD FRIDAY April 2, 2021 and we have been looking upwards ever since that day in amazement that we will get to spend this day, a day that seems to be the day God had in mind for us all along and a day that holds the truest example of Love ever made, in joining our lives together to become one and celebrating it with you. Alex and I both feel very satisfied with our belongings and the best gift we could ever receive is being able to safely gather together and share this special day with you and your presence. We do have a few home projects in mind and if you feel well-motivated to give we are with all of our heart grateful for that. Thank you again for your love, your support, and your sweet friendship.

Alex and Jessica met by God’s will on God’s time. Jessica couldn’t believe her heart when she first laid eyes on Alex, she knew she had met the man that she had been praying to God for. They both can’t deny that God has His perfect hand in all things that have led up to the day that they will join their lives together as one. They met at Nicole and Cody Musser’s house 3 days before the Houston Marathon in January of 2020. Jessica taught a yoga session to Cody, Nicole and Alex. Alex and Cody had met a few years prior at a CrossFit gym and began training together to run in the marathon. After that Yoga session their friendship began to nourish as they began meeting weekly to take yoga classes together followed by Church and coffee afterwards. Flash forward to April 10th, Good Friday, where they decided to put a title to their relationship. They continued to grow and nourish their relationship in the midst of a crazy year ahead. They cooked, worked out, adventured, prayed, grew in faith, met on the couch for church every Sunday and bonded with each other’s family’s and close friends. On November 6th, at the top of Bear Creek Trail in Telluride, Colorado; Alex got down on one knee and time froze in those few moments where he asked Jessica to marry him. The one thing that amazes them both is again the hand that God has had in every detail of their journey and their relationship. The conversations quickly started of when to get married- especially in the midst of a crazy time during a pandemic, what was the right thing to do? God again stopped them in their tracks and an opening to a dream venue in Houston, Texas opened up on Good Friday of April 2021. Here we are now, Alex and I both feel the satisfaction of the Lord’s abundance within our souls and are filled with plenty of His goodness. We are so grateful for the love and connection with you all and all we ask is that on our day and throughout our journey together that we get to connect with you and share in our love for one another. That is the best gift we could ever receive. As we join our lives together to make a home, A few home projects here and there are making it onto a list of things we would like to start together so we only ask that if you feel motivated to give (other than your time and presence) we have started this Newlywed Fund and are so grateful for anything you wish to give. “A sweet friendship refreshes the soul....We have not ( and will not) cease in giving thanks to our God always for you, remembering you in our prayers.”
