Watching the athletes slalom and slide through the snow during the Winter Olympics in Beijing inspired us to try it out for ourselves. Although a trip to Beijing is less feasible, the beautiful snow-capped peaks in the Rocky Mountains will have to do.

Sherin loves camping and prefers her outdoor experiences to be as gritty and devoid of amenities as possible. Srinivas prefers to have fully functioning showers, toilets, and convenience stores on site. However, for the once in a lifetime opportunity to camp next to one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, Srinivas is willing to compromise some creature comforts.

We have always wanted to go to a Chicago Bears game and watch them lose to another team. Maybe the game we go to this year will be their lucky break (maybe).

Have you ever driven by a building next to a highway that advertised indoor skydiving? After passing by countless times, our curiosity was eventually piqued. If this proves to be as exhilarating as advertised, we may try a skydive from a real plane.

From the time that we land in Antananarivo, our different hotels across the island are going to be our base of operations to explore national parks, play with the fishes along the coral reefs, eat dinner on a beautiful sunset cruise, go whale watching, and many more activities. Relaxing on crystal clear beaches on the coast is obviously included. Each contribution goes towards one night of our 14 day trip.

The first part of our honeymoon starts in the bustling O'Hare airport where we will board a nighttime flight to Madagascar. As the plane takes off, we will spend the first few hours of the excitedly discussing lemurs, beaches, and sunsets before falling asleep and waking up to palm trees as we descent into Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo.

An integral and unforgettable part of any trip abroad is the food. Madagascar has extremely fertile soil which allows it to be the world's number one exporter of vanilla beans. Additionally, Madagascar exports black and white pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and chocolate. The cuisine of Madagascar features influences from France, Austronesia, East Asia, and the Middle East. Each contribution goes towards one day of gourmet delight!

One of the must dos in Madagascar is going on a boat cruise during the day to watch the migrating humpback whales.

If you go to Madagascar, we would be remiss if we didn't visit the national parks scattered all over the country to see the diverse flora and fauna exclusive to the island. Expect pictures of us with lemurs to be gracing your social media feeds in the coming future.

One of Madagascar's natural monuments is the surreal Avenue of the Baobabs. Near the quaint city of Morondava, these trees are a relic of an old forest cleared away for agriculture and can live over 2000 years.

Alinea is the only three star Michelin restaurant in Chicago and it is one of only fourteen in the entire United States. It has been a dream of ours since medical school to taste the culinary genius behind the dishes at Alinea.

Having done the Chicago Architecture tour from a boat along the Chicago River, the natural next step to becoming more acquainted with Chicago architecture is to look from above! We will drift over the city with a personal tour guide and take in views of the skyline and the beautiful lakefront.

Nothing promotes couples bonding like a relaxing spa day. Please refer to the photo as a representation of how we will look during and after our experience.

We have had such a "ball" going to salsa nights all over Chicago, but we've never taken formal dance lessons before. With formal lessons we may become so enthralled by zipping up and down the dance floor that we may even change careers.

When we spend all day staring a numbers on a screen, answering pages, updating families, taking care of patients, and running around the hospital sometimes it's nice to feel literally nothing in a sensory deprivation tank and enjoy the ultimate peace and quiet.
