We realized a long term dream in June of 2017, buying a home in our beloved Chimayo. We are honored to lived in this well loved adobe home that has seen the centuries pass . . . and now there are sooo many things we want to do to love on it and make it ours! Including:- We have 2 rooms in our home that are dirt floors and need a lot of work- Fencing for animals- We really need a barn or large shed- Gutters- So many fixes, including functioning double pained windows with screens needed- Light fixture (just have bare bulbs)- Remodel kitchen . .. some day- Make usable the dirt floor, non-insulated attic- Need bookcases and a comfy reading chair!- Etc

You can't grow food without water - and in northern NM that water is delivered by acequias. I, Serafina am honored to work for the New Mexico Acequia Association. The work we do is deep and multifaceted spanning policy activism to holding space for our sacred connections.
The mission of the New Mexico Acequia Association is to protect water and our acequias, grow healthy food for our families and communities, and to honor our cultural heritage.
