Dear friends & family: if you’re here, you’ve seen us through some dynamic years and you’re a big reason we’ve made it. We enjoy many blessings in our life including a loving, cozy, fun, and well-stocked household. Recently, Renée has taken the exciting step of commissioning a new violin. This is a truly special experience. After Renée & the luthier Jason Viseltear get to know each other’s work, together they select the wood & design to fulfill the many roles Renée’s playing fills. To commission a new instrument is to support a living artisan practicing an exceptionally rare skill in creating a work of art & a sound that has never existed before. With love & care it may be heard for centuries to come. If you wish, this is a way to support our life together. Music introduced us to one another - and maybe to you, too - and is an integral part of our shared experience.
