Welcome to our registry page! As I said before, we decided to provide traditional registry items or the option to contribute to our house project. Our house needs A LOT of work, but we’re doing it ourselves (and we’re very cheap labor) so every little bit goes a long way!
Many neighborhoods in Philly, including ours, are “in transition” and we are a part of that transition in some way. We are very blessed in our lives, and we want to share what we can at this time. For those who contribute to the house, we will donate 10% of the funds to the Public Interest Law Center and/or the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association.
The Public Interest Law Center survives on donations, and they work to advance the civil, social and economic rights of communities in Philly facing discrimination, inequality, and poverty. They work on environmental justice issues (close to my heart), healthcare, housing and public education among other things. The NoLibs Neighbors Association is a charitable organization that works on a variety of issues in the neighborhood including promoting diversity and affordable housing and advocating for green spaces and sustainable “green” development (also a favorite topic of mine and which we hope to integrate into our house).
