After renting for ~10 years, we finally saved up to purchase our first home in Oakland in August of 2018! The house was built in 1905 with a century old redwood tree, a deck, and a small yard for Kona! We love our place, but it is definitely a work in progress! One thing original to the house that we would love to get working is our fireplace. Our dream is to install a pellet stove to stay cozy on chilly bay area nights. We would also love to expand our garden - the dream is to be totally self-sufficient on vegetables in the next few years!!!
