The second is a fund for a down payment towards a house. In some Asian cultures, it is a custom to gift money for the bride and groom into a red envelope. Why red envelopes? When gifting red envelopes, it's considered good luck to put in an amount of money. Since weddings represent two hearts joining together, we have the number in pairs (88).
