Seeing an Italian Opera, in Italy. A lifelong dream of Allison's, we will be seeing the famous opera Madame Butterfly in the equally famous Verona outdoor amphitheater during one of Europe's largest annual opera festivals. Nick will be there too.

Throughout our two-day drive from Verona to Rome, we will be taking the time to taste many of the wines Tuscany.

In an effort to cram as much of Rome possible into a week's time, the majority of our tours will take place during times these sites that are closed to the public, avoiding hours-long lines.

One of first meals in Rome will be with a professor specializing in ancient Roman history & lifestyle. He will entertain a small group of guests at his house, preparing a common dinner of ancient Romans and discussing much of their daily lives.

This will include front-of-the-line passes for all the big sites (Trajan's column, the Colosseum, Palatine Hill).
