Suz has been volunteering as a tax preparer at Ariva for four years. Ariva is an amazing, community-based organization in the Bronx that provides free financial counseling and tax preparation assistance to low-income and low-wealth New Yorkers. Over their 16 year history, they've completed over 100,000 tax returns, garnering over $170 million in refunds, at no charge (compared to the average $250 per return paid by low-income New Yorkers at paid preparers). They also provide financial counseling, last year serving over 3,500 people. This organization means a great deal to both Suz and Natasha, and there's no greater gift we could receive as we begin our lives together than to help this organization continue to thrive!
