We are planning to construct a low block wall along our east front sidewalk. In front of the wall we will plant groundcover. In back of the wall, we will create a raised bed with roses and flowering perennials. Behind the bed we want to install a gravel path from our gate to the front walk.

Blue Flax will bloom May-September and will compliment the Roses and other perennials nicely!

This plant is drought tolerant and will spread along the ground to keep out weeds.

These are very hardy and will spread over time. They stay green in the winter and bloom all summer long!

While we are selecting water-wise plants, our rainfall in Denver is very seasonal, leaving us with some extended dry spells. By providing drip irrigation to the base of the plants, we can minimize evaporation and provide the water right where the plants will use it!

Ornamental grasses provide winter interest in the garden and, once established, take little water to grow.

Landscape planning, gravel, backfill, labor, edging, grass removal are some of the other miscellaneous costs we will need to consider . . .
