We will be staying in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, known as Montmartre. This is a lively district full of cobblestone hills and shops, art scenes and markets, and the famous Sacré-Cœur (The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris)

With the Paris Museum Pass Kyle and Morgan will be able to gain free entry to over 50 museums and monuments in and around Paris - without queuing and as many times as they wish!

We have planned a full day excursion including transportation from Paris to the D-Day Beaches in Normandy in the company of an official guide, who will bring these historic sites to life.  On June 6, 1944, known as D-Day, the Allies opened a new European front against the troops of the Third Reich during the Second World War. It was the largest military operation in history, which marked the beginning of the Battle of Normandy and would lead to the end of the Second World War. More than 150,000 soldiers from America, Britain, Canada and many other nations landed by sea and air on a number of beaches along the Normandy coastline (Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Juno Beach, etc.) and at the steep cliffs at Pointe du Hoc.  The Caen Memorial Museum, also known as the Peace Museum, tells the story of the various stages of the Second World War, in particular the Battle of Normandy and the advance of the Allied forces across France. We will have the chance to see everyday objects from life under occupation, maps, and models of military vehicles, as well as film screenings that recreate the emotions of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.

We’ll try our hand at public transportation in Paris, and at driving a rental in the Riviera. We'll hop from here to there, and have fun everywhere!

When Morgan went to Paris in 2016, one thing she chose to forgo was to summit The Eiffel Tower - in hopes she would someday convince Kyle to travel there, so the experience could be shared! We’d love to journey to the top of the Eiffel Tower together to see the beautiful city below, and maybe even toast to the beginning of our story at the champagne bar!

No other city in the world defines itself by its river the same way as Paris does. For centuries, poets, painters, philosophers, novelists, architects, lovers, and finally, tourists, have understood this powerful attraction. The river Seine flows right through the heart of Paris and we'd like to spend an evening on the water!
