Your 2-hour tour starts at either Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor or with a pickup from your Waikiki hotel if you’ve booked that option.After you board the boat, stay on the lookout for dolphins, whales, and turtles as you cruise over to your shark-viewing spot.If you’ve chosen to watch for sharks from the boat, sit back and enjoy the show. However, if you’ve opted to try the cage, your guide will give you a quick safety briefing before getting you suited up.You’ll have 20 minutes to catch sight of sharks in their natural habitat, including hammerheads and gray reef sharks. Along the scenic, climbing drive to the summit you’ll pass the Kula District and Puu Ulaula Overlook as you ascend 10,000-feet to the summit of Mount Haleakala, a dormant volcano. At the top, get off the minibus and take your place on Maui’s highest peak as daylight begins illuminating the horizon and lighting the landscape below. Watch as the sunlight streaks the sky with vibrant, stunning colors until the sun sits high above the horizon. With the morning underway you’ll board the minibus and return to your hotel to review your spectacular photos and get some rest.
