Post-wedding but before summer break we'd like to take a holiday weekend to celebrate our new journey together.

We had planned to go to France in the summer of 2020, but those plans were dashed due to the pandemic. Annalucinda (Angela) would like to visit her friends there. And her fluent French will make the trip much easier! We may also visit Spain or Italy since we plan on being in the South of France.

We’d make a donation in your honor to one or more of our favorite charities. Some of the causes we like to support are organizations that offer humanitarian aid, organizations that plant trees, and organizations that promote random acts of kindness.

Though we’re not sure yet which side of the border we’ll end up on, we do know that there are a variety of professional services expenses to make this happen. To give one example, next year we’d probably need to consult with an accountant / tax person who is familiar with both Canada and U.S. tax laws for married couples with different citizenship. We discovered this great coupon book called Plant Curious. Through it, we have been able to try new vegan restaurants in the Vancouver region and save money! We’d like two since each restaurant has 1-2 coupons per book, and for our “favs” we’d use them all.

Indoor exercise equipment has come in handy in this rainy and sometimes snowy climate. We already have an elliptical, and now have our eyes on a second piece of equipment — we’re leaning towards a rowing machine.

Though Michael’s professional focus is shifting to Professional Coaching and Consulting, he still loves Ayurveda. To maintain his designation as a Board-Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor, he is required to take Professional Ayurveda Continuing Education (PACE) credits. For the 2024-2025 re-accreditation cycle, he has his eyes on several courses. Presently he’s leaning towards a virtual one this summer offered by a U.S. university and taught by a well-known Ayurvedic Doctor in India. The focus would be delving deeper into one of the classic source texts of Ayurveda, the Astanga Hridayam.

We have stayed at a lot of AirBnBs together, and we tend to prefer AirBnBs to hotels. This is a very practical gift we are sure to use!

One of Angela's wedding dreams was to rent a fancy car (complete with a chauffeur), and we're eyeing a classic Bentley! It's not cheap but will make for some great pictures!

We enjoy going to the theatre and other live performances, and have seen some unique shows at a variety of local venues.

We both love great Thai food, and we are fortunate to have 3 terrific Thai places within a relatively short drive or transit ride.

From to time, we enjoy a treat out and about.

Very helpful for a certain former Californian who now lives in very different climate! And helpful for the native British Columbian to keep things organized!

Angela has taken (and loved!) several classes in Non-Violent Communication (NVC), and is hoping to take more classes in 2024-2025.
