We are taking a pandemic "mini-moon" to Savannah to pick up Abhi's remaining belongings at his old apartment. Covid numbers permitting, we will visit Michaela's Dad in Chattanooga and travel together to Florida to see Michaela's mom and grandmother. Covid numbers not permitting, we will do some socially distant camping near Ashville, NC and meander through the mountain roads back home to Boston. This fund will help us cover the cost of the rental car and gas money!

We are moving into a new place on August 1st but are without anyplace to sit. This fund will help us buy a new couch and coffee table, or maybe a vacuum and some curtains for the three big windows in the living room.

Budhan Theatre was founded in 1998, by Abhi's uncle, Dakxin Chhara, and other young people from their community. This activist street theater group has done tremendous work in the last 22 years, combating the stigma and discrimination the community has faced, at least since 1871 when the British branded their tribes "born criminals." More recently, Budhan Theatre has organized relief and virus prevention efforts when their community was hit extremely hard by Covid-19.
