When discussing what to do with our registry, we kept going through all these various goods—plates, cookware, napkins, the like—and we kept returning to the same conclusion: we don’t really need any of this stuff. We’ve been in the process of de-cluttering our lives, not adding to it. It doesn’t seem fair to our friends and loved ones to ask you to give us gifts that wouldn’t give us joy, just for the sake of tradition. What we’re thinking about is our life together. And that means a home—a home for us, our future family, and for our dog (hi Olive!). A safe, warm haven, where we can host friends and family. So in lieu of material gifts, please consider contributing to a fund that we’ll protect for use on a down payment on our first home together.
