We're honeymooning in Africa! Meagan has long held professional and personal ties to East Africa, so we're going to start there. We're excited about beach time in Zanzibar, followed by a reunion with Meagan's friends in Tanzania. After that, we head to South Africa for a combination of work (for Meagan) and fun (for both!). We're excited to get some relaxation, adventure, and to experience all of the culture and variety that these places have to offer.

Our honeymoon starts at a beach resort in Zanzibar. Remember that crystal blue water with white sand beaches on your desktop background? Zanzibar is where they took that picture! We are looking forward to beach time, snorkeling, and free diving around all of the reefs.

We will be doing a safari in South Africa, trying to catch the lions, jaguars, cape horn buffalo, and rhinos that live wild on the savannah.

We are going to be spending five days in Cape Town traveling around to see the amazing coasts, hike the gorgeous scenery, sample some wineries, and do a safari!

We will be in the water a lot while we're in Zanzibar, hoping to catch some sea turtles, dolphins, and all the vibrant fish.

We're planning to do some wine tasting while we are in Cape Town. It's one of the largest regions for wineries on the African continent, and we are excited to sample some amazing reds!

Zanzibar has some of the clearest water in the world and we want to make the most of it! Meagan, in particular, needs lessons in free diving or she will be too scared to participate fully. :-)

We have two demanding careers, two active dogs, and one is a teenage Goldendoodle. This gift is otherwise self-explanatory. ;-)

We are hoping to explore the amazing terrain around Cape Town by mountain bike, one of our favorite activities.

A great way to see the amazing water and coastlines in Zanzibar is a sunset cruise on a traditional Dhow sailing boat.

We are excited to taste the delicious food from the Spice Island during our stay on Zanzibar!
