For our honeymoon, we are planning on spending two weeks in Japan enjoying its unique culture, delicious food, incredible history, stunning landscapes, and, of course, its Hello Kitty merchandise. Thank you for helping us enjoy our dream honeymoon! Arigatou! ありがとう!

High above the streets of Shinjuku in Tokyo is the world-class Park Hyatt Hotel. This hotel, which was featured extensively in the movie Lost in Translation, will be our home for one night in Tokyo. Help us experience all it has to offer with an evening at its famous New York Grill and Bar, with sweeping views of the Tokyo cityscape, where Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson first connected as strangers in in the land of the rising sun.

Every spring in Kyoto, local geisha (geiko) and their apprentices (maiko) gather for the Miyako Odori, the annual geisha dances. With elaborate costumes and scenery, these dances tell the story of the changing seasons throughout the year and touch on aspects of traditional Japanese life. We plan to attend a performance and take part in a pre-show traditional tea ceremony, and can't wait to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!

While staying at a traditional ryokan in the hot springs area of Hakone, we will enjoy a private outdoor hot spring tucked into the beautiful surrounding forest, followed by a private aromatherapy massage session for two. We can't wait to enjoy true Japanese relaxation after all that stressful wedding planning!

Mount Koya, located near Kyoto and Osaka, is considered one of Japan's most sacred mountains, and as such, there are more than 100 Buddhist temples in the area. Many of these monasteries offer simple shukubo lodging in the temple grounds, where you can stay overnight and enjoy shojin ryori - Buddhist vegan cuisine - and observe morning prayers. We plan to stay in a shukubo for one night and enjoy the serene beauty and relaxation of Mount Koya.

Nestled in the Japanese Alps near Nagano, Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park is one of Japan's most unique wildlife spots. Red-faced Japanese macaques live within the park and spend their days casually relaxing in their own private outdoor hot springs (onsen). We will travel by train to Nagano and make the journey to the park to observe these cute and fluffy creatures, and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sites in the Nagano area.

Nestled in the hills around Mount Fuji, Hakone is a popular destination for those looking to enjoy Japan's scenery and experience Japanese living. We will stay in a ryokan, a traditional Japanese lodging, with rooms covered in tatami mats, futons for sleeping, and low tables to enjoy kaiseki cuisine served to us in our room. Our ryokan also features an in-room open air spa for us to experience the natural mountain hot springs (onsen) in the area. This will be an incredible experience we will never forget!

During our stay in the world's biggest metropolis, we will take in a robot show at the famous Robot Restaurant. This one-of-a-kind venue was outfitted at a cost of more than 10 billion yen and features nightly taiko drum shows, parades, and robot battles in a futuristic dreamscape that would even make TRON jealous.
