Nestled in a serene mountain village, this traditional ryokan with its tatami-mat rooms, soothing onsen baths, and seasonal cuisine lets you get immersed in the elegance of the old Japan.

We both love Japanese art and would love to get a piece to display in our first house together. These prints can be found throughout Japan and are well preserved and often over 1000 years old. We want to find a print of a location that we have both visited together in Japan.

This ridgeline mountain hut is situated between two famous mountains in Japan, Mt. Goryu（五竜岳) and Mt. Kashimayari （鹿島槍ヶ岳) . Staying at this mountain hut allows both mountains to be climbed in a single weekend and helps us get closer to our goal of completing the Top 100 Mountains in Japan.

Rishiri Island is home to the northernmost mountain in Japan, Mt. Rishiri (利尻岳). We are excited to challenge ourselves and continue our goal of completing the top 100 Mountains in Japan.
