The Empfindsamer Ensemble is a new chamber group that Dan founded this season. This exciting new group is dedicated to the music of the Bach children and their colleagues at the court of Frederick the Great. The group takes its name from the Empfindsamer Stil or 'Sensitive Style' of the mid 18th century, which these composers were all a part of. Members of the group will be playing during the prelude to the ceremony. As a new ensemble built from scratch, funds are needed to make promotional materials such as recordings, head shots, and venue rentals.
