We already have all the household items we need (and more than we have storage for). Rather than give us presents, we ask that you consider contributing what you would otherwise have spent on a gift to a cash fund, the proceeds of which will be split evenly between our two favorite charities: SheJumps and Red Waggin' Rescue! SheJumps is a national non-profit that creates programming promoting the participation of women, girls, and people who identify with the women's community in outdoor sports. SheJumps offers scholarships, adult and youth programming, and a message of sustainability and inclusivity. Michelle volunteers regularly with SheJumps, and we both believe in their inspiring mission. Red Waggin' Rescue is a local animal rescue that does amazing work rescuing homeless companion animals in Washington and working to rescue animals from high-kill shelters in Southern California. We have fostered for Red Waggin' Rescue, and the rescue helped us adopt both of our dogs, Jim and Cooper. By contributing to our wedding fund, you get the benefit of helping us help others, and we get the benefit of writing a big "wedding check" to two charities that we personally know and love.
