The Freestore Foodbank is the largest emergency food and services provider to children and families in Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. Josh and Meena often direct patients here because Freestore distributes 47.2 million meals annually, including: boxes to seniors, healthy pantries at clinics & schools, and various baby formulas. We strongly believe that everyone deserves good health, which starts with good nutrition.

The Cincinnati Public Library is a beloved part of our community. Josh and Meena have directed patients here to help with employment support, help kids learn English during reading circles, support seniors with social & enrichment activities, and of course support literacy. Most of our patients read at about the 3rd grade level, and we believe that literacy is a crucial tool to empower our community’s health.

Wuqu’ Kawoq (WK) is a non-profit organization based in Guatemala, providing care to rural, indigenous communities in their native Mayan languages. WK collaborates with the Guatemalan healthcare system to expand quality, evidence-based healthcare to low-resource settings. Via their partnership with University of Cincinnati, Meena has worked with WK since 2020 by providing clinical care in Guatemala and aiding in their research efforts to understand health outcomes in the indigenous community.

Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, a program of COVERD Greater Cincinnati, partners with local social service agencies to provide free diapers to families while raising awareness of the basic health need for diapers.Babies can be expensive, and we frequently refer our new parents to Sweet Cheeks to make sure their babies are comfortable, safe, and healthy.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books each month to children from birth to age 5, free of charge, through funding shared by Dolly and local community partners. Josh & Meena know that not only is reading part of creating good leaders, but is also crucial to language development and health literacy. We love reading, we love Dolly, and we really love supporting kids.

IRLC started in 2018 to provide pro-bono legal services for low-income immigrant and refugee families. They also fund Know Your Rights sessions in schools and churches. Meena has worked with IRLC since her global health fellowship, donating her clinical time to asylum evaluations. Asylees are people fleeing from dangerous circumstances in their home country and asking for safe refuge in this country. We feel strongly that our neighbors deserve to live safe & healthy lives.
