Cali (Lina's hometown) is the Colombian capital of Salsa. We aim to periodically take lessons to maintain her salsa birthrite, and so David can keep up.

We met at a meditation center in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood. Everything from this fund will only go to meditation courses, retreats, yoga, or anything that nurtures partnership, well-being, and community health. We've both deeply benefited from retreats at places like Spirit Rock, The Insight Meditation Society, Plum Village Monasteries, the Brooklyn Zen Center, and Shambhala (where we met) and aim to continue cultivating the quietness, compassion, and wholeness these experiences have yielded. Eventually Lina would like to develop a clothing line that would support underpaid female weavers and artisans. This fund could also be used for supporting that and similar future projects.

A sweet treat before or after the wedding, time permitting

We plan to stay at this 30 year-old teak house, a lovely small hotel right on the river side.

After being in busy and vibrant Bangkok, we'll fly to Chiang Mai to relax and hang out with elephants.

Both of us our big fans of Italian cuisine and aim to improve our culinary abilities this year.
