I've long-admired City Life/Vida Urbana, a bilingual organization based in Jamaica Plain, a few blocks away from where I used to live. While the organization works towards racial, social and economic justice and gender equality in a variety of ways, their anti-housing and anti-neighborhood displacement work is what stands out to me.

I love Bikes Not Bombs as a place to get my bike repaired but also because of their work with youth empowerment. I've volunteered here a handful of times helping disassemble old bikes for parts and helping back shipping containers to send donated bikes overseas. -- Sean Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South. You will help us to grow even more youth leaders, amplify the voices of those we serve, and create healthier, more sustainable communities -- all with concrete solutions that are rooted in the generosity and strength of our partners and participants.

As you probably know, food is important to us. We love Community Servings' commitment to helping heal through scratch-made, healthy food. They have also hosted our CSA pick-up for the past few years. -- SeanCommunity Servings’ mission is to actively engage the community to provide scratch-made medically tailored meals to individuals and their families experiencing critical or chronic illness and nutrition insecurity. We commit, in all our programs and business practices, to prioritize racial and economic justice and health equity.
