We just bought our first home! We only discovered after completing the inspection that the property is the first house Olivia’s great grand parents bought after they moved to the U.S.! We are exstatic about this surprise and are eager to start restoring our new home. Funds will go toward interior and exterior painting and finishing work, weather sealing, replacing gutters and flashing, and many other repairs/updates around the property.

We just bought our first home! On our property there is lots of yard work and improvements to be done, and we plan to get our landscaping and gardening materials from Cayuga Compost, a wonderful small business located in Trumansburg!

Our new home has a fireplace with damaged tiles and an entryway that the old asbestos tiles were removed from but never replaced. Olivia plans to fix both up with mosaic tile art. Mosaic Art Supply is a small artist owned and operated company that Olivia would really like to support by sourcing glass and porcelain tiles from!

The Magic Garden is a native plant nursery in local to us in Interlaken! Were excited to host our family and friends at our new house for holidays and other special occasions—extra table space will ensure theres room for everyone :)

Liam bought "the best tarp at Lowe's" for our first date back in February 2023, so we could stay dry while start gazing in the National Forest. That tarp has served us very well on many adventures since then. A second tarp would ensure us enough coverage from damp grounds AND stormy skies, or help us with yard!

We love food, especially the stuff we make at home using the what we grow or forage ourselves, or get from our CSA. We're excited to learn more about food preservation to make our kitchen even more efficient, sustainable, and delicious throughout the year.

Lids are the only component of pressure canning that is "one shot"-- jar and rings can be reused but the lid can only be pressure sealed safely once at which point is good to be used for non sterile storage or eventually recycled. These will get us far (and we will definitely send you some yummy home canned goods as a thank you :)).

The largest pot we have often is pushed beyond capacity by the number of servings we try squeeze in. TYIA for saving our stove top from perpetually boiled over food messes.

We plan to be able to go on a honeymoon later this year when the timing is right to step away from our new home and some needed repairs. We hope to travel to Ireland and the U.K. to do a lot of hiking and see some Delaney side relatives while there! This will help pay for airfare and ground transportation :)

After our first date, Olivia sent the poem "I Have Just Said" from this book to Liam. It's a very sweet and lovely poem that's very special to us, so we've always wanted a physical copy.

On our second date we watched the film "Shadowlands", which is the relationship and marriage between C.S. Lewis and Joy Davidman. C.S. Lewis is very well known for his fiction and spiritual writing, but Joy Davidman was just as talented as a poet.
