Inspired by Leyna's grandparents, Joe and Anna, the Huber family started the JoeAnna’s House charity. Every year, thousands of families travel to Kelowna for a family member to receive life-saving care at Kelowna General Hospital. At any given time, 1 in 4 beds at KGH is occupied by a patient from outside the central Okanagan. In November 2019, after 2 years of fundraising, JoeAnna's House officially opened its doors and the dream of offering a home away from home for families travelling for care to KGH became a reality. https://www.joeannashouse.com/
