As you know, we live in Manhattan, which bestows upon its residents an unspoken default limitation that our two bedroom, two bathroom apartment will never exceed 1,200 square feet. We are both sentimental people and appreciate memories tied to items but seeing our apartment is full to the brim and neither of us cooks enough to justify finding space for a KitchenAid mixer, our registry solely will be for making memories during our honeymoon or building our coffers to buy our first apartment together in the city. As much as Andrew loves a Todd Snyder jacket and Liz loves a Manolo Blahnik kitten heel, this fund is far more meaningful than any possession and will be an important building block for our marriage.
