We plan to go to the Great Smoky Mountains right after our wedding before returning back to Uganda. However, one of our dreams as a couple would be to travel to Israel or Egypt over Christmas for a honeymoon.

We plan to move to northwestern Uganda the summer of 2019, where Eric will begin his position with World Renew, doing a combination of agriculture and development work. Power outages are common and can last for days. Eric has trouble sleeping in the heat without a fan and a sleepless night makes for lower performance the next day. Computers and phones are a key part of serving in the capacity of our position. Consistent power is necessary for a small fridge/freezer where we plan to keep purchased items available only from the capital city. Finally, solar will allow for some basic lighting, increasing convenience and safety at night.

We have a dream of hosting people. Part of hosting includes a nice place for guests to sit, eat, and fellowship. Furniture is also a way to make every house feel “homey”.
