We are planning a 2 week trip to Scotland for our honeymoon, with the goal of exploring as much of the island as possible. We'll split our time between cities like Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the countryside visiting castles and scotch distilleries. It's Lain's #1 dream destination and will be Lee's very first time overseas!

We bought our first home in October of 2023 in Cuba, NY. It's quite a bit outdated, so we've wanted to breathe some new life into it since we moved in, however, we experienced a setback due to needing a new boiler. This pass gives you access to all open Historic Scotland sites over a 14 day period, which means we'd be able to stop at any of the places on the list below under one pass. Alaina's Papa's favorite whisky is Glenlivet 12, so naturally there's no way we can skip this distillery while in Scotland. We'd love to be able to take a tour of the grounds and learn even more about its history and making so we can tell him all about it when we get back!

Eilean Donan is recognised as one of the most iconic images of Scotland all over the world! With Lee being such a lover of history, we definitely want to make this one of our stops.

Scotland is filled with super unique locally owned bookstores. We'd love to spend an afternoon on a coffee/tea and book-shopping date, since that's one of our very favorite things to do together!

On 16 April 1746, the final Jacobite Rising came to a brutal head in one of the most harrowing battles in British history... Lee being a history lover will definitely want to stop here. (And yes it is the basis for Outlander - which we both love btw!)

This restaurant in Glasgow went viral for their Pizza Pasta Bowls, which look absolutely delicious!! We're both big lovers of Italian food, so it's a must-eat on our trip.

"Secret Stirling" tour where guest can gain exclusive access to hidden areas of the castle that are not ordinarily open to the public. In centuries past, these areas were known only to the craftspeople who built the castle, the soldiers who defended it and the kings and queens who lived there. At the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, The Witchery, now in its fifth decade, takes its name from the hundreds of women and men burned at the stake as witches on Castlehill during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries... While it might sound morbid, it's steeped in history and a bucket-list stop for Laina.

One-hour beer tasting session in The Lost Close - a hidden underground bar excavated in 2019 from fires nearly 200 years prior!
