Located next to Castle Stuart, Old Petty is a brand new golf course that completes the 36 hole golf sanctuary at Cabot Highlands. Architect Tom Doak constructed Old Petty, who was also the consulting architect at Pasatiempo (our wedding venue) for over 2 decades. Old Petty is situated between the beautiful coastline, Castle Stuart and the historic Old Petty church. While Old Petty does not have an official ranking yet, we are excited to play this soon to be Top 100 course in the world.

In 1876, to build Machrihanish, golf course architect Old Tom Morris needed a train, a steamboat and a long carriage ride to reach the rugged links land. Krystyna and I will not arrive via train and steamboat.. but will greatly enjoy this unique experience on the remote Kintyre Peninsula. Ranked #52 in the world, Machrihanish poses as a beautiful, raw display of golf in itʻs natural element.

Located on a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Machrihanish Dunes is known as the most eco-friendly golf course in the world! Construction was only done on 7 of the golf courses 252 acres... which is nearly unheard of for a modern golf course. The rugged dunes land is maintained by grazing sheep, and sends golfers through the most natural golf course in the world in a true "Man vs Wild" golf test.

One of the most unique golf experiences in the world, Brora Golf Club is a must visit attraction even for the most "casual" golf fan. Brora truly embraces the blend of sport and nature - as highland cows and sheep graze the seaside links at Brora Golf Club. Of all of the rounds of golf, Krystyna is most excited about this one (because of the cows, duh!)

Ranked as high as the #2 golf course in the world, Royal Dornoch has the potential to be THE highlight of many highlights on our trip. When inquiring with one of my buddies, I asked if Royal Dornoch was worth it. His reply - "I have seen grown men cry when they reach the hill atop of #7". Needless to say, we are super excited to experience one of golfʻs truly greatest courses.

Ranked 54th in the world and 9th best in Scotland, Castle Stuart is a must-play when visiting the Scottish Highlands. Gil Hanse designed this course, which is our favorite golf course architect, who also designed our home course, Rustic Canyon. Situated along the Inverness Coastline and on the same property as the historic Castle Stuart, we are excited to play one of the worldʻs best links golf courses.

Struie Distillery is the new home of the original organic Dornoch Distillery, a world leading producer in gin, rum and whiskey. Scotty is most excited to try their world famous Dornoch Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, and Krystyna is most excited to taste their Organic Mediterranean Gin.

Nestled at the top of the castle in Crown Square, The Tea Rooms is a stylish and elegant place to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea. Afternoon tea includes admission to the historic Edinburgh Castle.
