SWB is close to our hearts! Katy worked for SWB in Kampala, Uganda and Oakland, CA and the youth and staff with whom she worked have forever changed our lives. SWB uses soccer as a tool for positive change, providing youth development, leadership, and education for newcomer refugee, immigrant, and asylee youth. We love to explore the outdoors and hope we can work together to protect and preserve our planet. We also know that our privilege allows us to enjoy access to clean air, water, and land that others do not have access to. We found this grassroots organization in the Bay Area working to "mobilize community power to win victories that change government and corporate policies and practices to protect health and to promote environmental, social and economic justice."
