Right before Covid hit, I bought a commercial espresso machine from a girl roasting coffee beans in a garden shed in Occidental, CA, population 40. Then the world shut down and I still had a way to fuel my daily latte habit. That blossomed into a love of making lattes at home and enjoying them with a beautiful view of Reno before starting the day. There's a coffee shop in Austin that is a certified barista training center. Justin and I took their espresso class and had a blast! The only thing missing now is some truly stellar latte art, then we'll really be seasoned professionals.
