With a brother like mine, you know I was going to have a security camera. Grant researched the best one with no monthly fee and the highest customer satisfaction, and this comes out a winner. Grant and I both travel for work, and we like the idea of knowing the other person is safe and monitored when we're gone. -K

I used an electric can opener for the first time at my dad's, and it taught me how much kitchen frustration can be saved by an automatic opener. Can opening is that task I always pawn off to Grant when he's around. I think he wants another helping hand. -K

They have lids!!! We had metal mixing bowls growing up, and they feel sturdier when you use them. We're also trying to avoid plastics where we can :) -K

I found a recipe for gluten free monkey bread!!! Growing up, my mom made monkey bread at Christmas, and it's one of those traditions I badly want to continue. -K

You don't need it until you do? Specifically, we really, really want to clean the couch I've had for 4 years, and the grime it has accumulated from our college days. I also want to stop living in fear of stains and what they will do to my home. -K

During our last trip to Perry, I pulled a muscle in my forearm (didn't know you could) making homemade whipped cream for Kaitlyn's pumpkin pies with a hand whisk. I would be enthralled to avoid that experience in the future. With this, we can make gluten-free dough, shredded chicken, homemade pasta, cinnamon rolls, and so much more. We would be delighted to have this. -G

Right behind hosting friends and family for dinner parties is our desire to have people spend the night in our 2nd bedroom! We've talked often of a vision to make our home feel like a cozy hotel room you might sleep in. These pillows give us that feeling! -G

It feels like just yesterday Kaitlyn and I were hunched over in Kelsey and Logan's apartment, using ChatGPT (free version) on her computer to beat all our friends in Catan. We still owe upwards of 2 sheep, 2 bricks, and 1 wheat to someone... maybe getting our own copy of the game would help us keep up with our debt. -G

We love the idea of hosting dinner parties with plates that make you feel like you're sitting down at a fancy restaurant, and these gave us that feeling! -G

100% cotton! We are trying to move to all-natural, breathable fibers for our bedding, and you'd be shocked at the land of sheets and the choices they offer. California Design Den just kept coming up on Reddit! Also, I'm pretty sure Grant hasn't had new sheets for a century...This will feel like being in a hotel. -K

After spending most of college confining myself to using the same UGA souvenir cups every day, Kaitlyn has opened my eyes to a shocking discovery - glass cups. I can't wait to use these! -G

Lemonade is my favorite drink. I look forward to summer days where we can use this to make some from scratch! Also love its timeless, country feel. -G

We dream of our bedroom feeling like a hotel oasis, and there's just nothing like a hotel comforter. Duvet inserts are a new world for us, but they say it's the key to maximum fluff! We chose this one for its 100% cotton, hypoallergenic fabric. -K

The smaller size is because I despise dirtying up a whole big glass when you really just need a little water...and these are perfect for a small glass of OJ (a Grant fav), an old fashioned (a Kaitlyn fav), or that water you just need in the middle of the night. These will be so handy!! Throughout college it never seemed like I could quite fit all the cookie dough I wanted on one tray. These will be so nice for bulk baking. -G

Items I plan to cook: Cinnamon rolls, casserole, oven-baked brie, lasagna, brownies, buffalo chicken dip, honey-glazed carrots, etc. The color also matches my existing Lodge dutch oven :) -K

I am obsessed with bagels. Kaitlyn's bagel-tasting era has come and passed, but for sandwiches, melts, and breakfast bagels, this will help me make sure I'm getting that early meal in! -G

During the Athens blizzard last winter, I walked to Independent Baking Co. with Kaitlyn and her roommates to get one of my favorite foods - fresh sourdough bread. And no bread is complete unless it has butter. This would be such a stylish way to enhance that buttered bread experience. -G

This is one of the first things I told Kaitlyn I wanted in our apartment, long before we made a registry. Something about having an open cookbook sitting on your kitchen counter takes me back to my childhood, and when I saw this in a friend's house, I knew I wanted one. -G

Grant and I have been lighting candles all the time recently. Reddit has taught me about the importance of candle care (trim your wicks!) to maintain the longevity and quality of your candles. This would be lovingly displaced on our coffee table and excitedly used. -K

I've learned that you don't need a serving tray until you really need a serving tray...The roommates and I have made some interesting items work for serving food over the years. The thought of having a real tray on standby?! -K

I did SO MUCH research on pans because we wanted to shift towards nontoxic, forever cookware we didn't have to throw out in a few years. We haven't cooked with stainless steel before and are excited to learn how to use them like chefs! (Tips and tricks welcome.) -K

Another "real adult" purchase! I'm imagining a pound cake or cupcakes at a dinner party we're hosting...OR you can flip it for a salad or snacks or punch!!! Seriously, look at the images; it is shockingly versatile (and very, very pretty). -K
