BCBF pays immigration bonds as an act of resistance against a system designed to criminalize, incarcerate and deport. Since 2018, they have paid nearly $5 million in bond and offered post-release support to nearly 600 immigrant community members so that they can fight their case from a position of freedom. Supporting people recently freed from detention and their families begins to repair some of the harm caused by detention and strengthens our community.
