JoJo can't wait to pick out a plate set and cups with Yoni; she's been eyeing sets from Coming Soon, a boutique home goods store located in the Lower East Side where she used to window shop when she lived in NYC (www.comingsoonnewyork.com). There, she would daydream about her future home with Yoni. JoJo is also excited to get cookware & dinnerware from Our Place (www.fromourplace.com) which sells products designed for how we live and celebrate making (and breaking) traditions with family: given, chosen, and found. Sharing a home-cooked meal is sharing our stories and YoJo cannot wait to host you all in our place soon! Lastly, JoJo is excited to support local stores from her hometown: Wren's Jewelry & Gift store which carries great ceramic serving items, and Farmville Furniture, which is a 111-year-old store with beautiful household items. They plan to purchase things like a spice set, salt and pepper grinders, napkin holders, napkins, placemats, cutlery, a cookbook stand, drying rack, bundt cake tins (JoJo loves to bake), egg container, cake stand, casserole dishes and a casserole holder, cold brew kit, juice press, air fryer, and more.

We plan to honeymoon in 2023! With our recent move to Miami back in January, wedding planning, JoJo’s conversion to Judaism and birthright trip, and JoJo starting a new job, we decided to wait to plan the trip when we could carve out the time and really enjoy the planning process. When JoJo was asked by her friend, Mckenzie, who hosted a Halloween-themed engegment party for YoJo, where she wanted to honeymoon as part of an activity for the party, JoJo said Egypt. Yoni and JoJo are so gratefui that they’ve been able to travel together so much already. They truly cannot wait for their firsr adventure as wife and husband.

We have already started to curate a collection of art from local artists both in NYC & DC & hope to continue expanding our collection because art makes us happy. We even mentioned this in our ketubah: “As a team, we will build a nurturing home full of art and music, laughter and light, and most of all love.” Your gift would support us in this artistic endeavor. DC artists whose work we have include Kodjo Attiso & Cherif Mamadou, painter, sculptor, & neo-grafitti/guerilla-art, street artist, who will be live painting at our reception. There is an art gallery called Blue Gallery (www.bluefineart.com) in Del Ray, Florida, which we have grown quite fond of featuring some amazing canvas, sculpture, and multimedia pieces by artists from around the world. YoJo also hopes to support ABNY Gallery (www.abnygallery.com) in East Hampton New York where their dear friend Sarah Scribner is the Director. Lastly, YoJo want to suppot the art gallery in JoJo’s hoemtown of Famrville: East Carolina Art Space which showcases North Carolina artists.

JoJo and Yoni are excited to live a Jewish life. This fund will help them purchase items like a menorah to celebrate Hannukah, havdalah spice holder, a Shabbat wine fountain, a sukkah kit, a passover plate, and tefillin for Yoni.
