Wounded Warrior was understandably my veteran brother's favorite charity - and using the celebration of our love and relationship to raise money in his memory for the brave men and women who have served our country means a lot to us. We know this isn't a traditional "wedding present" - but it's a really accurate representation of our values and using our many, many blessings to benefit those less fortunate. Chris and I are probably not your "typical" wedding couple. We're a little older, and little more established, and we're pretty dedicated to the tiny house mentality, so we literally don't have room for "more things" - as amazing and personal and generous as they might be. One of the reasons we are going tiny is to travel more, and for our friends and family who INSIST on giving us something for our wedding (but really, truly, your love and support and possible attendance at our wedding is SO VERY MUCH "more than enough.") After several months of persistence, friends have convinced us that letting folks gift us with desired EXPERIENCES on our honeymoon would be meaningful and special for both parties. We will be using Airbnb and Hotels.com to book our rooms on our honeymoon, so any of those items will help us travel from Rome to Venice! Exciting!

The perfect honeymoon afternoon MUST include sitting at a nearby table and people watching while sipping on local coffee, right? While we are planning on having Christopher's car in Naples and Avellino for our honeymoon, and (possibly?) renting a car for day trips via train to places like Rome and Florence, as a seasoned business traveler I know you always need a good back up plan - and for those folks who value NOT driving home from dinner after you've had some wine or NOT renting a ridiculously overpriced rental car in some sea-side resort town, leaning on taxis and Ubers (Yes! Uber IS in Italy! Yay!) is a very practical wedding gift.
