We are so excited to be spending 2 weeks in Ireland, Scotland and Wales for our honeymoon. While we have been saving for a lot of the general expenses and our plane tickets to Ireland have been purchased, every little bit helps! After Jim masters driving on the "wrong" side of the road from the "wrong" side of the car, we will be getting a rental car for a total of 14 days, including in Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Driving will probably be close to the most expensive part of the trip between the car rental and the gas. We would appreciate any and all help that we can get towards getting around on our adventure!

While in Northern Ireland, we plan to visit the beautiful Tollymore Forest Park and then head to Belfast. After exploring the sights in Belfast, we will spend a night at the Dukes at Queens hotel before our flight the next morning to Glasgow. A night at Dukes for two adults is £112.

Our plane tickets from Chicago to Dublin are already purchased, but we have not gotten our smaller flights booked yet to fly to Scotland and Wales. The flight from Belfast Ireland to Glasgow Scotland on flybe is $200 for two adults.

After a lovely dinner cruise on Loch Ness, we will be spending the night in Ft. Augustus at The Inch Hotel. The Inch Hotel is not far from where our dinner cruise departs from and is at the base of Loch Ness. This lovely hotel boasts a great breakfast and comfortable accommodations. One night for two adults is $180.

After sightseeing in Loch Ness, Inverness and nearby Culloden, we will head back to Glasgow to spend the night and the next day exploring until our evening flight to Wales. We've chosen to spend our last night in Scotland at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel in Glasgow. One night's stay for two adults is £160.

On our first day in Wales, we will travel to the National Botanic Garden of Wales to visit Pembrokeshire Falconry for an experience that allows us to fly a range of species of birds of prey. We can choose 4 different species of birds that we'd like to fly for 3 hours of fun. Our tickets include entry to the Botanic Gardens, 3 hour flying experience, entry to the British Bird of Prey Centre, refreshments in the café, and all of the photos that are taken. It is sure to make for a memorable experience! Two adult tickets are £150.

Our plane tickets from Chicago to Dublin are already purchased, but we have not gotten our smaller flights booked yet to fly to Scotland and Wales. The flight from Cardiff Wales back to Belfast Ireland on flybe is $175 for 2 adults.

Our first night in Ireland will be spent visiting with our friends who live in Castletown. Then after Jim masters driving on the other side of the road, we will rent a car and head out to see the country. Our first stop is Edgworthstown in Co. Longford which is where Jim's family is from. From there we will head to Drogheda to explore and spend the night. A room at the Glenside Hotel comes to €110 for the evening.

Our flight from Belfast to Cardiff gets in at 10:30pm, so we just need a clean and comfortable place to spend the night before we head off the next morning. The Holiday Inn Express is very close to the airport and has a 24 hour shuttle. (Which helps a lot as all of the car rental places will be closed when we arrive.) Staying here will allow us to get to the hotel easily and get back to the airport in the morning so we can rent a car and start out on our adventure for the day! One night's stay is £75.

While in Northern Ireland, we would love to stop at the Giant's Causeway and cross the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. The Giant's Causeway lies at the foot of the basalt cliffs along the sea coast on the edge of the Antrim plateau in Northern Ireland. It is made up of some 40,000 massive black basalt columns sticking out of the sea. The dramatic sight has inspired legends of giants striding over the sea to Scotland. Tickets for 2 adults are £18.

After a fun day at The Giant's Causeway, we will drive to Sligo and explore the city. We have chosen to stay the Glasshouse Hotel for the night. One night for two adults is $112.

Our smaller planes to Scotland and Wales require luggage to be under 40 lbs, so it will be handy to have this luggage scale to keep an eye on that incase Lindsay needs to switch some of her things to Jim's bag so they can get on the plane!

After playing all day, we look forward to a relaxing evening at the Llwy Helyg Country House in Carmarthen, Wales. This is one of the fancier places we will be staying while on our honeymoon, and we hear their full breakfast in the morning is amazing! One night's stay for 2 adults is $180.

We've heard good things about the Guinness Brewery tour in Dublin and would like to visit while we are there! We hear they even have samples! Two adult tickets are €28.

While in Scotland, we plan to visit the legendary and beautiful Loch Ness to look for Nessie! The Loch Ness Cruise is a one-hour cruise and is a great way to truly experience the beauty of Scotland’s most mystical and legendary lake. Two adult tickets are £30.

While in Scotland, we plan to take a ride on the Jacobite train through the majestic highlands which offers round trip service from Ft. William to Mallaig. We will be following the same route travelled by the Hogwart's Express that was shown in the Harry Potter films. The company running the Jacobite service provided Warner Brothers with the train used in all of the movies and allowed them use of the Jacobite's route for filming. Two adult roundtrip tickets are £70.

The Jacobite train ride will take us to the seaside town of Mallaig, Scotland which is not far from the Isle of Skye. Once we arrive in Mallaig, we may take the ferry across to Skye or just explore Mallaig. But we plan to spend the night at the West Highland Hotel before taking the train back to Ft. William in the morning. One night for two in a King Bed with a fantastic sea view is £180.

After exploring Castles all day and exploring downtown Cardiff, we plan to spend our last night in Wales at The Royal Hotel in Cardiff. Accommodations for two for the night is £75.

One of the most popular and majestic sights in Ireland are the Cliffs of Moher, which are located at the southwestern edge of County Clare in Ireland. They rise 390 ft above the Atlantic Ocean and reach their maximum height of 702 ft just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres to the north. From the cliffs and from atop the tower, you can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south. 2 adult tickets to visit the cliffs are €12.

Back in Dublin, we plan to visit ZipIt Forest Adventures where we can zipline in the forest among other fun activities. The price for two adult tickets is €60.
